A native of Ustye village Klavdia Petrovna Kogevina donated the sleeves to the museum. She lived in Pustozersk for some time after a marriage with a resident of Pustozersk Semyon Grigorievich Kozhevin.
The entire female population of Nizhnepechorye was engaged in home sewing. A set of peasant clothing consisting of a sundress and a shirt (or sleeves) existed everywhere until the end of the 19th century. There were both everyday and festive variants which were transmitted by heredity becoming an obligatory part of the dowry.
